I'm having a hankering to play an old DOS football game called XOR. It
actually uses X's and O's for the players, and was kind of cool for
it's day. It was DOS only. I run Win XP, and I'm not sure if there is
an emulator that will work for this program.

Although SLOUC Software has a noble mission, they have only 2 pieces of
software thus far, and the one that pertains to the OP's question, Petit
Dosbox, a DosBox front end, is for Mac OSX. The OP is looking for a DOS on
XP solution.

Try DosBox as previously mentioned. There are some front ends out there for
it, but it's not really that complicated so for me, a front end for this
program just gets in the way.

If you want to get a bit more adventurous you might try Bochs

Bochs is a machine emulator on which you can install many different
operating systems.
