You cannot use DOS drivers in any version of Windows NT (NT/2000/XP). In
Windows NT DOS programs are run in a virtual environment that emulates the
hardware. DOS programs cannot directly access the real hardware.
Windows XP does emulate a very basic soundcard, however often this does not
work, so you will need
a 3rd party sound emulation. There are two solutions available:
1. Sound FX 2000 ($39) from http://www.softsystem.co.uk/page4.htm
2. VDMS (open source) http://ntvdm.cjb.net/

Additionally you might also want to try out DOSBox
(http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/) which is a DOS Emulator for Windows.
