When I had Win 98 i was given commands to clear out
Deltree - but these don't work on XP. Can someone tell me
the commands use in XP.

Deltree is a DOS command to delete a folder and all of it's contents. This
is not available in XP, and neither is DOS. If you want to clear your
cookies folder simply open Internet Explorer and go to Tools, Internet
Options, and click the "Delete Cookies" button.

If you are looking for a command in XP which does what deltree used to
(remove a directory and all of its files and subdirectories) use:

rmdir /s
