At home, I have a W2K professional PC and I would like to share the resource
for the DOS PC. They are connected in the LAN.

Where are the setting requirement on the W2K PC? I am using NETBIOS over
TCP/IP. Do I need to setup the WINS services, etc...Thanks for any input.

You shouldn't need a WINS server if both machines are on the same IP
subnet (assuming Netbios over TCPIP is being used). You should
attempt to goto \\servername and see if your can look at the available
shares on the other computer. This will show you that NetBIOS is
working. If it fails then the problem is most likely Permissions.

Thanks,
Nate

For a DOS client, I would stick with NETBEUI. It'll use MUCH less
memory, and it's brain-dead easy to set up. Just make certain the
computers have unique network names.
