Dos/Cmd Prompt

When ever I try doing anything in eihter the dos or cmd
prompt it goes to open and then it disappears instantly.
HOW can I fix this problem?
 
Open the Command Window first and then execute the command-line
utilities from within this window.

Open the Command window first, then type the command.
Start> Run> CMD> = Command Prompt Window

Start> All Programs> Accessories> Command Prompt = Command Prompt Window.

Possible virus infection, update your antivirus and scan.

If you are doing Start>Run and typing (without quotes) "cmd" [Enter] to
get the command prompt and it disappears, then Steve is right and you
probably have a virus. If you are trying to start the command prompt
differently, then do the former.
