Dos and taskmanager problems

Hi I just got my sisters used computer and it was running fine until about 3 weeks ago. Now whenever I try to runa program in dos, like a dos game or anything it just sort of freezes. It dosnt not respond, it just sits there and does nothing after just starting to load up. My other problem is that somehow taskmanager turned itself off, now when I try to use it it says it was disabiled by the administator, but I am the administrator and I dont recall doing that. I've scanned for viruses with the latest nortons but got no problems. Any help would be great.

Allows you to enable or disable Task Manager for the Current User

Don't know about the Dos/games freezing, perhaps you could check for spyware, it
can't hurt

Then repost if the dos/games still freeze. Hope the above links regarding the
Task Manager fixed that problem for you.
