donwload never download updates

whhen download the service package 1 express and i look
for updates winows tells me again to update and the
update program tells me tha it has been installed and on
top of that i get a message that reads end program you
can nnot close the program for windows is still running
another program c:\winn\system32\drivers\nvidia\...
can someone help me
