I am trying to install an old program of M.S.Works vers.4.5 on my new
Dell comp. which came with excell and not using it.
I tried to install Works, and it popped with this message:

"Setup cannot install system files or update shared files if the files
are in use, before continuing close any oplications."

I did close all open applications to the left of the clock, but not the
ones where my clock is.

What shared or system files are they talking about.

Can I ignore this message and just continue to install, I am confused

Any and all help appreciated

Thank you
P.S. Posting same question to another board just in case no one answers
this.

Ignore and continue, it's just a generic warning.
Thank you David, I will install it, but 1 quick question, when
installing something do you really have to close all program?

It is recommended, especially antivirus apps, as it is said that they can
interfere with the installer, but I never do and haven't had any problems.
