Don't see website background images nor men dropdowns

I have IE 6.0 and XP Pro on a PC. I don't see website's
backgorund images nor do the dropdown menus appear with
hovering nor linking aspects. My coworker has same
software and hardware, yet is able to view websites
without any problem.

I have checked the cookies and javascript within IE 6
without success.

HELP !!
 
a quick thing to try:

in IE, click tools, internet options, advanced, restore
defaults. click ok and close and restart IE.
