Don't need network

This is and will always be a standalone PC with one user, me. Can I get rid
of all the network things, multiple users, etc.? Answer is probably all over
the workgroup but I haven't found it. Thanks.

There is no need to get rid of "network things". Just don't use them. If you
haven't set up anything except Internet access, don't worry about it. No,
you can't get rid of the basic structure of the operating system. You're
probably referring to Administrator, Default User, etc. XP is a modern
operating system which means that it is built to be multi-user and
scalable. Leave system files alone or you will hose your machine.
