Ok! have old address book in folder on hardrive from old
computer. old system was windows 98. new sywtem windows
xp.
how do I move the address book and calendar to the new xp
without having to reenter each item.

How did it get to folder on new system....computer shop
took all of old "C" drive and put in folder.

Help!

If you set the old drive up as a slave in your new system, you can import
the address book by pointing to the old address book file.. use the import
command under FILE..

address book and calendar... you could be talking about Outlook which
stores everything in a .pst file. In win9x, look in windows\Local
Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook to find that file.

In XP, Outlook stores that file in ... ready ... C:\Documents and
Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook in the
file Outlook.pst.

Depending on your old version of Outlook, you can just copy the file
over with Outlook closed and then open Outlook.
