Hey don't include your email address in these posts...I
got like four or five emails with viruses in
them...masquerading as windows upgrades. Fortunately I'm
not naive enough to open them....but it's definately a
problem for a newbie...

Probably cause some people say you should not use "fake" mail address
cause someobdy could e.g. have the domain @nospam.com or whatever ;)

I once used a fake address and got flamed for that. But yeah, it's for
sure a good idea to have two mail addresses. One for "real" and
one for usenet.

....too bad you have to enter a mail address at all :-/

But Ray, no offence... you DON'T have to use a real mail address. Look at
mine. You think someone owns the URL www.somewhere.cxm ?

At least everywhere.com is in use ;) But I agree, it should be no
problem if you use a fake top level domain.

Except that that domain might be added some time in the future... Top
level domains are not totally static.
