In 2000 server establishing a remote desktop had the user name as blank as
long as it was sent in the local security policy as dont display last user
name.

2003 server while the same local policy is set and at the console you dont
see the last user name, establishing a remote connect (remote administration)
'parses' or 'displays' my current workstation user id. Is their a way to
make this blank ?

Thanks in advance.

I have yet to verify this, but I think that your client is to blame, rather
than the server. I think the client remembers your last login username and
then inserts that into the username field when you connect. Try checking the
settings on your RDP client. you might be able to turn that 'memory' off, or
at least tell it to leave things blank.

Thanks Matt, this lead me to the right direction, under the tab logon
setting, uncheck client provided and check the "always use the following
logon information" and leave the values blank
