Hi,

I have produced a single excel chart with four variables
A,B,C and D. A and B are bar chart types, while C and D
are line. Is there anyway to alter the order in which the
individual charts appear in the actual data table? I am
aware you can alter the order if chart types are the same -
but cannot find a way to do it if you are using different
chartypes on the same chart.
In the example above I would like the line charts (C and
D) to be 1st and 2nd on the data-table, followed by A, and
B the bar charts.

Any idea?

Thx,

Don-

I believe XL insists on a specific sequence for column/line
combinations. Have you considered creating your own data table? Just
put the data in the cells beneath the chart and format as desired.

I'm certainly not opposed to this idea - but not quite
sure how to implement it? Are you suggesting there is a
mechanism whereby I can create the normal data table
template but manipulate in a manner that wouldn't be
possible if I include the default table? How do I go about
creating this table .....?

Thx,

Don-

Don -

The chart must be embedded in a worksheet, covering the range, say,
A1:H20. In the range A22:H30 type (or copy/paste) some labels and data
which represent what you want to display in the table. Format the cells
however you want the table to look. It's not a "Data Table" in the
sense that it's part of the chart, but it can be linked to the same
source data, and in fact, the chart could be linked to this table.
