Is it possible to let a Windows 2000 Pro machine that is a
member of one domain login to another domain?

I would like our users to login to our domain 90% of the
time but within our coporate network they also need to
login to another seperate domain - is this possible or is
setting up trusts etc the only way?

Setting up a trusts and proper permissions would be the best way.

Trusts are probably the better way, but a machine can be in two
domains and a user have accounts in both domains and log into
whichever they choose. You have problematic issues with domain
differences and roaming profiles, domain security policies, etc.

Thanks for replying,

How can I actually join a machine to two different
domains? Thats something I've never tried before!

You don't actually join the domain, you have a user account in the
domain. There are some things that balk at this, but at least for
sharing files and printers there's no real problem. In fact, if you
have identical user accounts in both domains and identical passwords,
you may not have to log in to the second domain. This all depends on
domain policies, operating systems involved and so on, but it's oftten
quite simple.

Though again, trusts are the proper, and guaranteed to work, method.
