Hello All.

What are the pros and cons for designing AD using Domains
or OUs?

What are Domains for as apposed to OUs?

Thanks

Samantha

I'm not a pro on this, but I believe that the purpose of a
OU is to organize objects inside a Domain. At least thats
how we have it setup here.

Hope that helps,
Hutch

Several reasons for having OU's. First and foremost is Administration....
You can delegate all the objects within an OU to someone else.....
Management of resourses is the second reason, using GPO's provides the
ability for policy to be inherited or blocked..

Good Question

The only reason for using multi-domains is to have multiple password
policies (one per domain).
Otherwise, use OUs without too deap tree structure.
