Domains listed in registry

If you go to HKey_current_user/software/microsoft/windows/current
version/internet settings/zone map/domains/ you will find a long list of
sites, which I have never been to, nor will I (some have some adult site
names). Can anyone tell me what they are for and how they get there? If you
delete them what will happen?

Do you have SpywareBlaster or Spybot S & D installed on your
computer? Both of these programs have in immunization feature
that will add a large number of suspect web sites to the
Restricted Zone in Internet Explorer. If you don't have those
two programs installed, check the other security applications
you have running on your computer.

If you're curious, try the following:
Go to Control Panel and double click Internet Options.
Click on the Security tab.
Click on Restricted Zones to highlight it.
Hit the Sites button.
The sites you found in that registry key should be listed here
as well.
