Domain users can not install published software thru GPO

Hello:
I have a Windows 2000 Server domain with Active Directory. All users are in
the same OU.

Is there a way where these domain users can install published software thru
GPO? I want users to install only the software that I publish to them thru
GPO. I can do this but only if I give them Administrator privileges but
that‘s not what I want. I want them to have user’s privileges and allow them
to install only the software that I publish to them using Group Policy.

Any ideas?

Installing applications through GPO is a cool feature. But when it comes to
the app installing on the pc is where it gets a little confusing...Have you
tried Assigning the application to each computer... this works similarly to
assigning an app to a user. The main difference is that the assignment is
linked to the pc rather than to the user, so it takes effect the next time
that the computer is rebooted. Assigning an app to a computer also differs
from user assignments in that the deployment process actually installs the
app rather thatn just the app's icon.

Hope this helps...

That works just fine.
