Hi all...

When loging to a NetworkShare from non-Domain joined workstatinon
(XP,2K,98,85)
I have to add Domain name prefix to UserName (Domain\User name).

It worked fine (without the domain prefix) for long time.
How to get this simple logon back. I have no idea what got changed

thanx for any info

Did you have a drive letter mapped through explorer with a connect using a
different user name with reconnect at logon??
then changed the password?

oops... ok to more clerify the issue
-----------------------------------

Domain User connects to a SHARE on Domain Network from workstation
that is NOT JOINED to that domain.

eq.
\\10.10.10.10\NetShare

When the logon dialog pops-up

He can logon ONLY when specifying the DOMAIN name in front of the USER name
in Login Dialogue. eq.

Login: DomainName/UserName
Password: Password

It worked fine for some time even without the DomainName prefix BEFORE ....
eq.

Login: UserName
Password: Password

whats up ...?

Not to mention my W2K server + wkst MSCP ... :O( not in the books
thanx and keep it comming
Pettt
