About a month ago I remove one domain from AD Forest.
But I `m getting netlogon errors for that domain in root DC.
Today I find these domain in license services, I don’t now how to get rid of
these annoying netlogon errors ?
These errors pop up only on root DC. Is it possible that these errors, could
pop up, if there were some computer in the network, that was part of deleted
domain ?

Have you correctly demoted all DCs for that domain, or did you have to just
reformat them without cleaning the metadata in AD?

There where two DC. On first DC there was Exchane 2003.
1. I demote first DC with Exchage server.
2. Than i uninstall exchange server that was an its own administrative unit.
3. I look at the root DC to se if removal of administrative unit is gone for
these domain.
4. run dcpromo on second DC
5. I check in a week to see if there is some odd record that should be
present, if DC was not demoted correctly, but there was no record for that
domain…

Could errors be related to some computers, that was part of demoted domain ?

when you thought you removed the domain did you select the checkbox
"this is the last DC of the domain" (or something like that)? If not,
then the crossref for that domain still exists in AD and you need to
remove it.

To remove it use NTDSUTIL!

See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;230306 for
instructions

I mistype. I us KP to see if domain was not demoted as it should be. In AD
Domain and trust it is not there.
It is shown in License manager? Is it possible, that error is shown because
there might be some computers that were part of demoted AD domain, and it is
shown because of that..
