Domain setup

Hi all,

Can someone please help me.
Here's where I'm at so far.
I'm trying to setup my client/server environment.
1. I made my server ip address static.
2. For the gateway I put my router ip address.
3. I pointed the dns address back to the server static ip.

Shouldn't I be able to get to the internet at this point
on the server? I'm getting page cannot be displayed.

On the server, you say you pointed it back at itself. I'm
assuming that it is the dns server as well.
Then you would have to go to the dns manager, and set up
proper forwarding to your isp's dns server. YOu'll need
those addresses too.
From within the dns manager, right click on that server,
go properties, then select forwarders. You'll see what I
mean.

Thanks for the reply...
I guess I would have to wait until dcpromo has run in
order to run the dns manager, correct?
