Domain Password Policy

I have changed my Default Domain Policy security settings
so that passwords expire every 90 days. However, all of
my users passwords keeps expiring every 42 days (the
default setting). I've checked and double checked the
Policy and it is definitely set to 90 days. It's been in
place for months now, and the rest of the policy settings
are being applied. Any ideas? Thanks.
