You need to add a dns record for range of IP addresses. The rejection is not
because the domain name is not yours it is because your ip address of the
mail server has no DNS record configured for it. This is something that your
ISP will most likely have to do. I have seen this issue with AOL and this
was typically the fix. My internal domain name is not the domain name we use
on the internet and the domain name we use internally is actually owned by
some one else on the internet but we have no issues because of this.
C:\>nslookup
Default Server: *.ntdomain.com - my internal domain name which I do not
own.(this is my internal DNS server)
Address: 10.0.2.100
209.150.89.130 - real IP of my mail server.
Server: *.ntdomain.com
Address: 10.0.2.100
Name: 209-150-89-130.dratraining.com - this is the record I am talking
about.
Address: 209.150.89.130
