We have some users who use laptops and are on the road
(sometimes out of the country) for weeks at a time. We
are currently converting to a single domain and want
everyone on the network to log on to the domain.
These users need to be able to install whatever software
they desire when on the road. Ideally, when they come
back we would like them to log onto the domain.
But, is this possible? I realize that they could have a
local account and a domain account and switch, but that
sounds messy since they would end up with files in
different locations. Is there a way to do this with one
account? And is there a way to make them a power user but
add to that, permission to install anything they want.
Because apparently as power user some progs cannot be
installed depending on the level the install goes (for
lack of proper terminology). I know that it has something
to do with hardware drivers or something like that.
Thanks
