Hi everyone,

Can someone please try and help, I would like to host my
own domain I don't want to be tied down with domain host
companies.
How do iI do it pls.

Your help would be highly appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

Go here:
http://www.domainflow.com/

Register your domain name.

I believe your ISP can handle setting up the DNS records that will point to
the IP address of the server you are using to host the website.

Thanks Danny,
I have registered the site but one company is hosting my
web site for me but I would like to host it myself; it
seems I did not explain myself better earlier.
What do you think I can do?

Many thanks

Sam

Right now whenever anyone tries to visit your website they enter the URL and
there are DNS records that direct the traffic to the "one company" that is
hosting your website.

You need to set up a server that has "always on" access (DSL, cable, T1,
etc.) to the Internet. Install the web hosting software of your choice, IIS,
Apache etc. Move your website from "one company" to this server then find
out who manages the DNS records for your domain and have them adjust them to
point to the IP address of your server.

Search google for publish a website.
