Domain Group Policies

Hi

We've built a number of systems with Embedded XP SP2. Until now our
customers have used them as part of a workgroup.

However now one of our customers has joined them to his domain. the actual
joining to the domain went without a hitch (domain membership components must
have been included)

BUT my customer tells me that group policies have not been applied to the
machines.

I think that they are using a Server 2003 as their domain controller.

I'm busily re-building the XP image at the moment. Can anyone give me any
clues as to which components i need to add to get group policies to work i
would appreciate it.

Hi Kevin,

Sometimes Group Policy can be a tough one. Make sure of course to include
anything in Target Designer with Group Policy in the name. Also take a look
at this document that tells you the policy name and what registry values it
affects:

Also, make sure you have "Security Shell Extension", and "Windows Security
Configuration Editor Client Engine". Take a look at an article from Jon
Fincher from awhile back...
