domain controllers stop responding

Hello,

I've been having a problem with domain controllers. I
have a primary and a backup set up, both running DHCP,
DNS, and DFS. I am replicating DFS root from primary to
backup, also replicating user profiles. The problem I
have is that either domain controller will stop responding
at random intervals, and when I try to logon locally the
machine that stopped responding to the network sends me
back to the Welcome screen. The only way I can get it
back is to perform a hard reset. Every once in a while
both controllers goe into this condition, when this
happens of course it wreaks havoc. Any suggections?
Please help if you can.

We'll need more info. Can you provide an ipconfig /all from both DCs?

Thanks

Also, assuming both DCs are on the same subnet, why are both of them running
DHCP?
