Hey All:

First just want to say thanks for the forum I have found
lots of great info here.

On to the problem... we have 41 Windows 2000 servers with
5 Domain Controllers. This morning I asked a couple of my
people to rebuild one of the DC's. I expressly noted that
before they start the rebuild (new install) they demote
the server to a member server. However, when I walked back
there I noticed they forgot b/c the object was still in AD
in the Domain Controllers folder. Yes... I about blew my
top. Anyway, my question is since the old domain
controller no longer exists how do I remove the object
safely/correctly from Active Directory?

Do I follow this TID: 216498 HOW TO: Remove Data in Active
Directory After an Unsuccessful Domain Controller Demotion?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Sincerely,
