domain admin in more domains

Good day all.

I´d like to add a domain account to the "domain admins"
group in a other domain. There is a trust between these
domains. The appropriates domains are also in the same
forest.

But I can only select contacts from the other domains and
users from the same childdomain.


Any ideas?

I'd guess this is to do with group nesting.

The domain admins group is a global security group.

In native mode, a global group can contain user accounts
and other global groups from the domain in which the global
group exists.

In mixed mode, a global group can contain only user
accounts from the domain in which the global group exists.

If your domain is native mode, I would suggest creating a
domain local group, to which you will be able to add the
domain administrator from the truted domain. You can then
grant permissions required to this domain local group.
