Doing an Add to contacts does not save it in the specified Contacts folder!

Outlook 2000 and 2002 - Turn off the message store Contacts as an Outlook
Address book, add a .pst file, and create a Contacts folder that holds
contacts, and make it an Outlook Address book. In the Address
Book/Tools/Options, say to save personal contacts in and select the OAB that
you created on the pst. Open up an email, right click on an email address,
say add to Contacts, still plops it in the Contacts folder on the Exchange
message store! How do I get it to add it to the Contacts folder I
specified???
 
You can't. That method will save only to your default Contacts folder.
 
Ok, then what does Keep personal addresses in... do?

Where do you specify your default contacts folder?

It will be the root Contacts Folder in your information store.

OK, so what does the setting in Address Book Options - Keep personal
addresses in... do?

And I have turned off the Outlook Address Book on the information store, and
turned it on in a PST file. Seems what they say and what happens are two
different things.

If you are running an Exchange Mailbox and a PST in the same profile, you're
on your own. Anything can happen. As far as I know that configuration is not
recommended nor well documented.
