Does anyone know an easy way to do a search on a database
in Access 2000 or 2002 or what am supposed to do to make
this work.

The datase is a list of contacts / patients with the room
numbers they are in, but if someone is looking for a
patient I want to be able to do a QUICK search to find the
patients name and room number..

Thanks in advance...

I usually do searches from a Form with a Combo Box... that scrolls the list
by default, to the first item that matches what you've typed. It's simple to
display the whole record in the Form once you select it. In fact, the Combo
Box control wizard offers this as one of its options. Make sure the "magic
wand" appears pressed in the toolbox, and place a Combo Box on your form.

If that's not fast enough, I can't help.
