I accidently deleted a local profile on a WIn2k Professional computer!

Not without third party tools.
Tip: The more you use the computer the less likely you are to
successfully recover the files, especially so if you move files about,
create new files or install software on the pc. DO NOT INSTALL file
recovery utilities on the pc! It may overwrite the very files that you
want to recover, in a case like this you should use a recovery utility
that runs off a diskette, or at the very least use one with a small
footprint and install it on a drive that other than the one from which
you need to recover the files.
These guys say that they can recover deleted profiles...

I haven't tried it and I don't know if it needs to be "installed" to work.

Hi,
Data recovery tools hsould definately help you. Among them the most
powerful IMHO are Active@ undelete and Uneraser (for pure DOS). They
never ever failed me so I'm pretty sure that is a thing that will be
able to fix your trouble.
