Recently, Outlook stopped recognizing my email accounts (I
have one Hotmail and one POP3). When I go into Tools,
Email Accounts, View.., both accounts show. When I test
the POP3 account, it tests OK. But the Send/Receive button
doesn't do anything and I have no Send button when I
create a new email.

I've tried unistalling and reinstalling, doing the Repair,
deleting the outcmd.dat file... At this point I'm out of
ideas. Please help!

Carole,

If you were able to get email from both accounts before
and it suddenly stopped, here's a possibility......

One of the servers has been changed so Outlook cannot
connect to it. More than likely your ISP (pop3 account)
wouldn't do that without notifying you so it sounds like
Hotmail may have moved you to another server. Delete the
hotmail account, close Outlook, bring Outlook back up and
see if you can get your pop3 account to work. If it does,
then you know for sure it's a problem with the hotmail
account information. You can call them and get the new
server name, etc.

Good luck!

Opps, forgot to tell you, it could also mean that one of
the two servers are down. It won't work if either are
down. Check with your ISP and see if their server is
down. MSN/Hotmail seems to have problems frequently on
their free accounts so it could be that they were down
when you were trying.
