Doesn't play entire movie

After I import the 2 movie clips into MM, I click on play and ONLY the first
15 seconds of the 12 MINUTE movie plays. I the 12 MINUTE movie I want to edit
some portions of it. HELP PLEASE
 
You don't say what type of source file you're using... seems like there's a
good chance it needs conversion before importing. See my website's Import
Movie Source Files > Video section.
 
then that's the Video > Discs page in the section I referred you to.... yes,
file conversion is needed
 
The page tells you how I do it, and has suggestions from others. Use
whatever you're comfortable with, and which works well.
