Does XP support USB 1.0?

I upgraded from Me to XP and my computer restarts itself for no apparent
reason. I have various devices connected through my USB 1.0 ports and have
been told that XP does not support USB 1.0. Is that true? Could this be
causing the restarts?

It is not true.

To check out the reasons for your restarts open Control Panel - System
- Advanced and click on the Settings button in the Startup and
Recovery (bottom) section. In the Startup and Recovery window click
on the checkbox for "automatically restart" to clear it then click on
Apply and OK as needed to exit.

That should put an end to the spontaneous reboots. However they may
be replaced by a "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP error message. If that
happens then the contents of the error message, including the STOP
code, all 4 of the parameters relating to it, and any file or module
names mentioned will be a direct clue as to the underlying cause of
the problem. Post that information back here if you need assistance
with it.

Good luck

Thanks for your help Ron, I appreciate it and hope for more.

As you predicted,
be replaced by a "Blue Screen Of Death" STOP error message.

I'll try to include the important parts:

A problem has been detected...

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

If this is the first time you've seen this...

Check to make sure any new hardware or software...

If problems continue,...

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x244CB60F, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x244CB60f)

Beginning dump of physical memory...

And the next one I got was:

*** STOP: 0x000000C5 (0x00000003, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x8054AE34)

Both of your errors are related to device driver problems. See the
