Depends on what you actually mean.

It has a command prompt...

Start button --> RUN --> type in:
cmd
--> click OK.

Just so everyone understands: The last Microsoft operating system that
used DOS was Windows ME. No DOS since then. Successive Microsoft
operating systems have what is a called a "command line environment" but
it's nothing more than an interface for entering commands. No DOS.

Thanks much. That is just what I was wondering.

I had a pinball game that had to be run "in DOS" and in 98 I could run
it under the DOSPromt.

I do not have the entry Start > Programs > Accessories > Command
Prompt on here for some reason. I just got this box week ago or so
and am still learning the changes from 98.

Thanks again.

Start > Run > cmd > OK.

Some old DOS games will still run in Windows XP, without the need to
enter a command line. Open the Help and Support Center and read the
topic "Getting older programs to run on Windows XP". (Just do a search
for: older programs.)

Thanks all. Appreciat the help.

Hi,
Type "CMD" into the "Run" box on the Start Menu and click [OK] - This
will produce your "dos-box" or Command Prompt if it's not on an item on your
Start Menu > Programs > Accessories

Better late than never, Tim.

Notice that "kraut" already got the solution from "Leonard Grey".

TIA

There is no way to reboot a WinXP PC into Real Mode DOS, if that's
what you mean, unless you've set up a dual-boot system. The WinNT
family of 32-bit graphical operating systems, of which WinXP is the
latest generation, has never used, included, or "ridden upon" MS-DOS.
To access the Command Line Interface (CLI) for use of the command
prompt, click Start > Run and enter Cmd.exe.
