Does Windows Update use Akamai network?

I've seen connections in CLOSE_WAIT state from SVCHOST.EXE, which is seen as
SVCHOST -k wugroup by TCPView from System Internals. These are:

62.4.69.8.de.mfnx.net:http CLOSE_WAIT
62.4.69.19.de.mfnx.net:http CLOSE_WAIT
a194-78-91-110.deploy.akamaitechnologies.com:https CLOSE_WAIT

Are these endpoints normal or should I worry? I've run AVG and found no
viruses, run AdAware and found nothing, installed all critical security
patches from the beginning... such output connections are rather strange.

I can't verify your actual data, but MS does use Akamai!
