Does VirtualPC 5.3 work on Vista? I've read version 2004 doesn't work.
Thanks,

The Beta of VirtualPC 2007 works fine on Vista at least...

2007 is an improvement on 2004, but it is still behind and does not support
Linux as VMware does.

In other words, the amount loaded on the Vista machine should have no
affect on the XP machine.

That is correct.
As for VPC, Enterprise and Ultimate Vista editions will have Virtual PC
Express built in. Not sure what is relationship between Express and 2007
though.

I'm running Build 5480 Ultimate. I thought that this would be 'feature
complete' and I see no VirtualPC Express?

Sorry to burst your bubble
Huh?
That stinks,
another feature gone-POOF- what the heck; I'm starting to think Vista
really
IS what some say; a glorified xp sp4

Rich Milburn said:Hello Jeff,
have you really not looked at Vista yet? it's far from XP SP4...
look at event viewer
look at resource monitor
look at task scheduler
look at calendar
look at mmc > add Windows Firewall with Advanced Settings snap-in
look at NAP
look at the new boot manager
look at the installation method
look at the WAIK
I think you missed something. Besides, VPC2007 is free.
