I spoke with my ISP (Wichita State University) and they said
they don't cache files. Whether that is true or not, I
don't know. It is low budget, about $6 a month for 24/7
service.
The web is very nice, but I wonder how many places cache
data enroute? Last week I got an email that was a week old,
where was it waiting and why? It was Hotmail and the
account was getting other mail.
I will look for the answer about MS mirrors. Google
returned a variety of hits on Microsoft mirrors (the exact
search term may vary) but two names came up several times
Softpedia and soft32. MajorGeeks may also be offering
software.

| Jim;
| I have an enquiry about others distributing Microsoft
software and when I
| get an answer, I will post it.
|
| In the meantime a cause for the issue of many receiving
614 has occurred to
| me.
| I had a similar problem with another popular Microsoft
download a few years
| ago.
| The problem was not Microsoft or the computer.
| The cause turned out to be the cache of my ISP.
| So while some blame the computer and others blame
Microsoft, the problem may
| be in the middle as it was for me a while back.
