If you open a form and then click on view from the tool menu and choose
Design, do you get a message about FDesign ? I do.

Any suggestion on how to get rid of this ??

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the club!!! Now this makes three of us!!
Are you serious about using Access 2000? My experience and
one other person was only with Access 97 so I'm actually
surprised to hear that you are using Access 2000 and
seeing the FDesign error. What service pack are you using
for Access 2000, what Jet version, what operating system?
Do you also have any Access Runtime files installed?

I've dealt with this for over a year now. I even had
Michael Noto from Microsoft trying to help me. I would
strongly suggest you read these three threads on the
subject at Google. The links are really long so these
shortcut links will take you right to the threads:

No solution I'm aware of, but maybe having more people see
this error will finally begin to make people notice. I've
even offered to have Michael (or anyone from Microsoft)
dial into my PC using PcAnywhere to personally see this
for themselves. So far no takers. Heck, I'd even be
willing to have an Access MVP dial in and take a look!

Well I can't help much, but just remember you're not alone!

Didn't this come from a custom toolbar imported from one of Stephen
Lebans' projects? I seem to remember something about fDesign in that
context. I suggest you search Google Groups (http://groups.google.com)
in the microsoft.public.access.* hierarchy for "fDesign".

The Solution was as Stephan Lebans suggested. Go into the ToolBar editor
and select RESET to default.

This works. I wont be using anymore third party tools however.
Access 2002 Service Pack SP-2

Well I'll be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That did it! Although, I did have to Reset each formatting
menu (query, form, report) along with the Database and
Menu Bars.
I just finished extensively testing on both machines I had
this problem with and now I don't see it any more!!
This is sweet!

I'm still stumped why this happend. I don't recall ever
using an animated DLL file before.

Anyway, I'm just happy it's finally working again! Thanks
Dave and a special thanks to Sensei Lebans!! You da man
Stephen!!!

Stephen, any chance Microsoft will make a KB article on
this? Sure would be nice to point people to it if/when it
ever comes up again.

Thanks again!!!
