Mettá

Hi all

I have been an on going user of this NG for about 5 years. Mainly in
connection with building www.metta.org.uk It was my first attempt at site
building which has grown considerably over the years, as has my knowledge,
thanks in no small part to this NG.

I am now wondering if this site needs a new look and am looking for
constructive advise on what might be needed most before moving forward... I
have come to know the site really well and of course now see it from a
limited perspective.

The site is on Win2k3 with FP extensions, lots of asp db stuff etc.

Thanks for any feedback

I find the text much too small and the page width with 4 columns is too
wide. The web site isn'rt holistic .. the subject matter is holistic. There
is far too much material on the first page ... it is overwhelming! Mousing
over black text that turns red doesn't seem to be the best. Some of the text
on the buttons doesn't fit the button.
ETC

In addition, you might reconsider your use of justified paragraphs. They
don't generally come out so good on the web. The lines have large gaps, and
if the reader resizes the font size on his browser, the results will be
chaotic. At the bottom of the home page, the columns in bold almost run into
each other, making the text hard to read.

On the positive side, I very much appreciate your conditions of use. They
are sensible and considerate.
