Does anyone see any problems, or have suggestions, with the following
list of a basic computer I am going to put together for my wife?

Everything looks good except for the DVD burner. I would
suggest an NEC drive which has a better reputation
for media compatibility. That's what we mostly sell to our
customers.

I'll second that. Sony is crap, but NEC is pretty good, especially for the
price. Only other problem I see is the power supply. Antec makes some good
ones, but I suspect this specific one is probably crap, even IF the included
power supply is Antec brand. (any name-brand case doesn't necessarily have
a matching name-brand power supply). Try an enermax or
ortron/sparkle. -Dave

sony is ok for me works ok here no probs nec r better tho
