Hi,

I have a Netgear wireless router which me and the boys use at home.
I also have a USB scanner and a USB printer.

I have 4 Ethernet RJ45 connectors on the router which are not in use -
because me and the boys has all gone Wifi.

Is there some kind of adapter gadget out there that would let me plug in the
scanner and the printer to the Ethernet RJ45 connections on the router and
let me and the boys access them from our PCs ?

TIA for any info.

The scanner I'm not sure about, but for the printer you can buy a print
server, which is just a small box that goes between the network and your
printer (usually not hugely expensive either).

OK. Chris,
That would be a HP JetDirect or something like that.
I have used them before to connect parallel printers.
They used to be quite expensive.
Just didn't think of it.
They should have a USB version by now too.

Now then, who has any ideas bout the scanner ?

check ebay.. and you don't need to go for big names like HP.. (much cheaper
brands are available)
