Does the MovieMaker export diminish video quality?

I have captured my video and edit it and exported it with TMPGEnc. I am
going to make my movie with MovieMaker 2. When I save the movie, I *think*
for the best DVD I am supposed to save it as a DV-AVI and then use TMPGEnc
to create another MPG-2, and finally, send it to the DVD.

Am I correct in how I am doing things? And will doing these things diminsh
the quailty? Thanks.

Seems like you have the overall process steps down OK (might have more
comments if you told us where the video is coming from).

Each rendering step that applies a compression codec will diminish the
quality a bit. Most of the time it won't be very noticeable.
