Does Outlook Express Create BackUp Files? Where?

Hi,

My PC was infected by a virus. After cleaning up and
getting my system back in order I logged into my Outlook
Express and realized that I lost
all of the Mail Folders that I created along with their
contents . The only folders left were the inbox, the
delete items and draft folders
Is there anywhere that these folders might have been
archived or backed up? What file extension would I look
for? Unfortunatley I had to delete my systems restore
directory to clean up.
