I have just changed from Windows 98 to XP and am using
Outlook Express for my emails, but can't seem to find the
Outlook program that existed in W98. Am I stupid or
doesn't it exist.

Thanks for assistance....driving me crazy.

Outlook is a component of the Office suite of products, it is not part of
any operating system. There is a cost associated with obtaining it.

Outlook Express is part of Internet Explorer, and since this is included
with the OS, OE is included with the OS and is free of charge.

I know how you feel! no is does not - I purchased "office
XP standard" which is comprised of
word,
Excel,
outlook,
powerpoint.

cost $199 from Dick Smith - I do not understand why the
outlook and perhaps the word (as and editor)is not
standard with XP. I have heard ther is a new o.s. coming
up next year - maybe it will have it!

I have only installed outlook and word. I have been told
to use outlook express for email and outlook foe
calendar......but I much prefer outlook for my email - I
posted a few questions on down loading updates for both
XP and office....the answers to these may of help to you
also.

cheers,
Scott.

Outlook is part of the Office suite and no part of that has ever been
included in ANY WIndows operating system. If you has Office installed on
your Windows 98 machine and did not do an upgrade install, then you've lost
any program you had before and will have to reinstall it from the original
kit.
