Hi;
2 spots to check depending on the procedure you follow every time you update
you nv drivers (and others).
1- IF "You" on your own created a C:\TEMP folder and direct/guide/instruct
Windows to it when expanding installation files to actually output such
files. dirs and subs in there.
Clear out All the temporary files in your system as
EACH set of nvDrivers would create a whole slew of TEMP\nvidia v.#***
folders and Subs (if directed to create in said C:\temp**** )
or else:
2- You did not create a C:\TEMP and let the updater(s) have his/their ways
then...
.... each and every new v. from nvidia will create a brand new (specific to
the very version you are installing ) folder (and subs) right down to the
say "45.15, 45.23, 52.03, 53.06 all the while KEEPING the previous 25- 30
MBs for each install. If you started at v.10.13 all the way to 53.16 in
minute steps then imagine the lot"S".
All of that stuff==> ONLY back-ups, no other purposes.
The actual working, active drivers are NOT there at all.
Worthless if you keep the installer(s) handy.
Could/must be a whole lot of other unneeded stuff in there if you went that
route.
Extra: Have a hard look in C:\WINDOWS\TEMP while at it.
Really worth it creating a "C:\Temp" folder, then setting your Environement
Variables for megabytes of
"*.temp" and"
*.tmp"
to it.
One quick look in one location from then on.
