Hi,

Recently i switched from KAV to NOD32 due to the fact KAV (imho) was
using too much RAM.I have a question about NOD32 checking secured port
995 incoming emails??(this is my gmail account)

Anyone knows this? I can't manage to do this with NOD32. (version 2.50.19)

TIA

J.

Have you tried e-mailing them to ask?

From the FAQ:

http://www.nod32.com/support/nodfaq2.htm

Can I use IMON to scan secure communication (SSL) on port 995?

Since the SSL communication is encrypted, it is not possible for IMON to
scan incoming email. Even adding port 995 to the list of ports checked by
IMON would not work.

yes...sorry i didn't read that before.
However there seems to be an option if you use the Open source program
"stunnel".
But this is quite complicated for me....so i guess the on-access scanner
from NOD32 will do it's job whenever i got a virus send through port 995
from gmail.

thanks anyway.
