Does "No end date" ever end?

Outlook 2002 on Windows XP Pro. Just monkey curiosity really on my part.
When I set up a recurring appointment with "No end date" specified (which I
do a lot), does it create the appointments out ad infinitum (I guess not),
or out to a particular date far, far in the future? Or does it, say in the
case of a weekly recurrance, create another one on the end of the line
somewhere in the future as each week rolls around, thus pushing the end of
the recurrance always into the future? TIA.
 
it creates it out to year 4500 - August 31, 4500 top be exact.

Aahh. Well that's answered a question that has often niggled me. Many
thanks for your reply. Guess good old Outlook will see me out then.
