I don't remember seeing any remoting in presentations of CF version 2.

Remoting isn't something that's on the roadmap. Nor will it ever be, I
imagine. .NET CF v3.0 or v4.0 may, just may, have something WSE-ish or
Indigo-ish, but Remoting? Don't count on it.

Of course, this is just my own personal speculation.
